Speaking of defenestration and the “that reminds me of” game.
There is no set time limit for when something is merely a coincidence and when it is set in stone as a gematria tribute or ritual. So here’s the challenge for those that read this. Try to not be reminded of this post for the rest of this month.
Defenestration is a favorite because it is such an odd event that the chance to use it in everyday conversation other than as a metaphor is rare. So now, is it a coincidence that these associations with defenestration might be the work of the evil empire or Organic Matrix?
Guard
Since the post title is itself a pun I offer the story of the phrase, Gardy Loo! (Or single word gardyloo). Possibly derived from French, this is the phrase in medieval times shouted from up high when the contents of a chamber pot were unsanitarily defenestrated to the ground. The French phrase “garde a l’eau” means “Beware the water”. Be on guard for the water. Be on guard for GUARD, GUARDIAN, GOURD or anything close enough that you are reminded of it. The script is deep, so use your imagination.
Mel Gibson and Patrick McGoohan
There is a scene of a human being defenestrated in Braveheart. Longshanks throws his son’s male lover to his death. Both have been in lots of film. Now you can let yourself go crazy in your own but I do want to nudge you into being reminded that McGoohan was also in The Prisoner where every prisoner is assigned a number in place of a name. And he’s also mistaken for the similarly named Patrick MacNee. Who was in The Avengers tv series. Which may remind you of Infinity War. Etc... And Gibson should remind you of insane racists. ‘Nuff said.
Heavy metal music
There is a metal band named Gardy Loo. If you want to be reminded of anything metal like copper and silver etc... I’m not holding you back. Don’t forget that these have symbols on the periodic table!
Drag Racing And Trannies.
Hey, mirror images. GARD backwards. Not all drag queens are actual trans, but I thought I’d save the mooks some time.
That’s enough of that. There’s a statistical near certainty that just that list will produce a coincidence that otherwise would not have been, just because I have a memory for useless information like the origin of Gardy Loo.
