Supersize That Gematria

 

There’s a long running series of videos on the Gematrinator YouTube, the so called Super Stream.  Especially nice for Saturday content to get that alliterative Saturday Super Stream vibe.  They’re so important, so extra super special, they aren’t even worthy of a dedicated playlist.

And now, the blog has a Megapost.  It’s not just an ordinary post.  It’s a super post.  It’s so super that it’s beyond just that name, MEGA is super on steroids.

The superlative advertising gimmick is a well trodden path.  Imagine if Derek invited a romantic partner over to view his megapost and suffered the shame of finding out it was really just a micropost.  So overdoing it is a bad thing, if you can’t deliver the goods in reality then it’s bound to backfire sooner or later.

Which brings us to the standards within the gematria community.  Actually, the lack of standards.  We’re still waiting after all these years for a clear answer on when you drop zeroes and when you keep them like in one of the favorite three digit numbers - 201.  Similarly, we can now ask the question, “Exactly how much more misinformation and disinformation does a livestream or blog post have to include to qualify as a ‘super’ or ‘mega’ product?”  Well, at least he didn’t try to create a new website with Quantum Gematria like some other jackwipe has done recently.  Putting together two words that clearly don’t belong together is really, really cheesy.

Note that I’ve said more instead of better. The superlative game works best in the spam quality value world of gematria fake evidence instead of discussions of quality.  Which leads us into another discussion of Mr. GOP nominee.  He’s obsessed with size.  And we’ve known it before being elected for the first time.  The following is just one sample of many you can find by doing a Google search for Trump and crowd size related phrases:

As long as people believe that something is popular there is a tendency to take the cognitively easier path and assume you should just go with the flow and be a part of the winning team.  The bigger team.  Because just like money doesn’t necessarily equal intelligence, the bigger team is not necessarily the better team.

Trump, already in the habit of using superlatives in his political rhetoric has if nothing gotten worse over time.  More and more detached from reality.

Democratic voting doesn’t care about the quality of the voters intellect, just the quantity.  And you can bet that even without direct insinuations about politics that the people who actually believe in gematria as a form of evidence that they are statistically far more likely to fall on the right wing part of the spectrum.

There’s a lot of unverified rumors about paid attendees at Trump rallies.  Perhaps that’s true, but it does little to help the overall discussion.  As long as people are more interested in talking about whataboutism instead of concrete facts the illusion of mega importance holds undue sway in the debate forum.
