I kid you not. Valerie and I are in the same ballpark. And I swear she was one of my earliest celebrity crushes. I didn’t even like One Day At A Time that much. Just watched it with the rest of the family because she was so adorable. And here she is on BlueSky, talking about narcissism. To me, that makes her even more adorable.
Sounds like she’s talking about personal relationships. But I’m still calling this synchronicity. My experiences have been mixed with both personal relationship narcissists and workplace narcissists. But most of what I’ve been yakking away about has been motivated by the assholes at work who make life miserable for everyone else.
Or instead of magical synchronicity. Let me catch up on Valerie. My duties as a creepy stalker type have been pretty lax. I kind of totally forget I was semi-obsessed with her. Or maybe it’s the great parents that instilled me with a functional moral compass.
Google time. Married to Eddie Van Halen. Divorced, long before Eddie passed away. Knew that. But then married a financial planner which lasted about a decade until a divorce in 2022. Tom Vitale. Knowing what I know, I could jump the gun and take the educated guess. But know privacy is non existent and I can just tweak my search - Why did Valerie Bertinelli and Tom Vitale divorce.
And the answer is irreconcilable differences; betrayed trust with Valerie specifically mentioning narcissism.
<sigh>
Of course. Finance and narcissist are almost becoming synonymous. Poor Val has suffered enough, I sure hope she finds someone to hang with who isn’t a problem, or the solace of distance if that gives her peace.
I suppose this would be a terrible time for me to beg for an autographed photo.
