Roblox, Restatement, and Rotten Numbers

I just found out that Roblox has a predator problem.  Multiple videos addressing the topic have appeared in my feed.  The problem is so widespread that YouTube content creators commenting on the topic have to be careful about their wording or else the video will get yanked because of the sensitive nature of the topic.

So instead of a video link I’ll give you this:

And I will highlight this image:

Well that sounds typical of a lot of the shady stuff on social media.  Getting a vague assurance that the problem is being worked on, or even worse that the problem doesn’t exist.  Supposedly not existing when literally just a few minutes of investigation (now that some researchers have provided clues on where to go and what to look for) shows that it’s obvious that something is wrong.

I’m pretty sure that problem is capitalism itself.  Although the theory of rewarding the more competent with a better life is great, when there’s no effective regulation, no functioning legal system to enforce it, the prevailing attitude of the top earners is an unhealthy, “Screw it, I’m making far too much money to care about even beginning to address doing the right thing.  Even something as near universally accepted as protecting the minds and lives of children.  Maybe there’s something to the thriving demand for Epstein closure after all.  Not a numerical restatement, but an overall conceptual restatement.  Roblox is and always has been a safe haven for children.  The gematria equivalent is something like claiming you picked the last 10 Super Bowl winners correctly when you didn’t.  At least not without virtually waiting until the playoffs started and picking essentially every team.

On a broader economic scale, businesses have grown accustomed to placing reliance on financial information that is not the greatest.  And they also gain a large share of people that decide that it’s too much money to care about worker safety, morale, and affordability for the lower classes.  As far as accounting fraud goes, the classics are the best.  Keep two sets of books.  Collusion and hope the other parties don’t blow the whistle on you.  And restating numbers.  I’ve seen this graph multiple times recently.  It’s what got the head of the BLS fired.

If the May and June numbers were correctly reported then July would not have been as good as it superficially appears.  Even the July number itself was not viewed as great news.  I suppose someone decided to bite the bullet and do the downward revision now instead of misstating the numbers for several more months.  Like a bank reconciliation that was fudged by restating numbers in the prior year the eventual mismatch would be found when the company books don’t match the audited statements.

And yes, there is a gematria equivalent to revisions.  And actually I haven’t seen much date numerology lately.  Other than dates there is the fun occasional misspelling to mock.  Entire decodes ruined by spelling someone’s name wrong.  Easily solved by the different numbers meaning something irrelevant like Bavarian Illuminati instead of Society of Jesus.  But as for dates, well that’s a function of the mechanics of outrage porn.  What did the current propaganda get people pissed off about today?  And if someone supposedly died for your ritual sacrifice on Tuesday, but they were actually just hospitalized on Tuesday and didn’t die until Thursday?  Ooops.

If the trend continues, where accurate numbers get you in trouble even to the point of being fired, does it really matter if you use gematria or a piece of accounting software?  I should reach out to Roblox and see if they use gematria for their bookkeeping system.
