Many readers will have come across the phrase mansplaining in real life conversation or the lovely excuses for intellectual discourse on social media. The word itself is a portmanteau of man and explaining. That’s ok by itself, but in practice its part of the alpha male world is run by rich old white dudes who have no problem forcing their beliefs on everyone else. Mansplaining is always condescending, and not just a little bit condescending. It’s designed to put the other person in their place, which is designated as a lower form of life. Not surprisingly, the person being mansplained to doesn’t appreciate being treated like a two year old. Especially if other objective measures indicate that the person being ‘splained to is smarter and more knowledgeable about the topic at hand.

And for the record, as with my original material, I’m not convinced this wasn’t staged instead of genuine interactions. But that’s not important right now. Just past the 4 and a half minute mark there’s a gematria junkie talking with Klepper about the app on her phone. She brings up our all time favorite number, 113. As she briefly pauses he reacts like an ordinary person would confronted with gematria for the first time. Waiting for an explanation on what 113 means beyond 113. Finally she blurts out how it’s “NOT TRUE”. End of story. Like Jordan is a two year old idiot who needs guidance on what is brutally obvious.
That’s gematriasplaining. The “we all know what that means!” attitude you can get if you’re not truly prepared for dealing with a closed minded confirmation bias junkie. And since all the big name gematria clique leaders engage in gematriasplaining on a regular basis, new recruits learn to shut the door quickly on too much detail. The leaders like the Zach’s and Derek’s have a lot of practice on when to make a video that essentially starts off as an introduction to first time users and when it’s time to pull out the condescending apex predator “don’t fuck with me” attitude. Those stuck mid level in the pyramid scheme don’t need more help on the basics. And if they’re getting involved enough to interact with family and friends, learning gematriasplaining to end awkward conversations is something they can and do absorb.
Those people need gematriasplaining to cope. They aren’t going to look up the Rationalwiki info on gematria. They aren’t going to the SportsGematria channel for the exposure of the lies and hypocrisy. What they are looking for is continued existence in their isolated bubble of misinformation and disinformation. And sometimes they need a more advanced form of gematriasplaining to get them through.
The Gematrinator’s go to tactic is or at least was a subset of the debate me bro mentality. Putting out a full video rebuttal of the Rationalwiki info. And this gem in his blog where he insists that the entire Klepper video is all about him:

And not just everything gematria and other truth community gematria. The conceited and condescending attitude that everything in existence is revolving around him and his two and three digit numbers, like 113. Where he gets to pick and choose who is a good decoder and who is so bad that only some high quality clique leader gematriasplaining will put them back in line.
Since the marketing plan for conspiracy grifting includes purposeful delving into blatantly wrong information, one thing your actual true believer gets is quality work on gematriasplaining. (Or moonlandinghoaxsplaining, or <insertconspiracytopichere>splaining.) Keeping the conspiracist out of touch with people, some of which genuinely care about their mental state, who might talk them down from the ledge. But now the landscape is a bit different than it was before 2020. The unforgiving internet has a lot of critics who don’t appreciate the condescending gematriasplaining. With equal or superior IQs to the main promoters. Maybe that’s a big part of the reason that despite this being an election year the gematria world is a lot calmer this time around.
