The usual fake electoral maps are circulating.  Maybe not as extreme as this actual gem that election deniers put out:

But still pretty obvious because when there’s anything resembling a close contest they go overboard anyway and make it an unrealistic landslide.  California going red?  Highly unlikely.

But now thanks to Polymarket, the gematria sports decoders can join the “let me work my letters and numbers magic and will my reality into existence” with something other than the gematria.  We know they love gambling with gut feeling and emotion, otherwise they wouldn’t have gotten into gematria in the first place.  And they love cryptocurrency.  Its extreme volatility makes lots of numbers and wild swings and is super scammy.  So why not go ahead and plunk down some money on the election?  In fact, why do you even need gematria at all if you can just put down election bets and the winner is who has the highest amount of money bet?

There’s a lot of moving parts that can go wrong.  And even though it’s technically illegal for U.S. citizens to gamble on their election, I’d bet that they have found a way.  Like a $30 million dollar anonymous crypto bettor way.

Psychologically I get why the fake maps are made and why there’s a sense of “joining the bigger crowd”.  But the supporters within the States putting money down, they’ve already made up their minds about the actual vote.  And the people on the midline don’t really care about the emotion driven propaganda.  And some of those people are rather open in comments of YouTube videos that they aren’t doing great financially and are desperate for winning the lottery to fix their finances.  The odds are against them, and they have already been dipping into their entertainment budget for risky decisions.

But you do you.

As it turns out the psychology behind gambling addiction and sports gematria decodes turns out to be a wondrous self fulfilling negative feedback loop.  The more you play, the more you lose, the more desperate you get.  The big bettors at Polymarket, the single big donations that can move the line stand to make some serious coin on a Trump victory.  The less than brilliant sports gamblers that are making more whimsical bets based on emotion, as in the clip of Cuban and Co. mocking them, they think they’re affecting votes when they aren’t.  And the no win situation of another four year Trump hellscape or bitter election denial made up rhetoric will be here in 2025.
